O’DRISCOLL COLLECTIVE: CALLOUT FOR COMMUNITY DANCE ARTIST- SOMETHING OUTTA NOTHING

O'Driscoll Collective is looking for Two Community Dance Artists to help shape OC's new work “Something Outta Nothing ”. As part of the project OC will be working with local secondary schools based in the Black Country & Gloucester. In line with this activity, OC will be recruiting 1 artist based in the Black Country & 1 artist based in Gloucestershire. A great opportunity for those who have a keen interest in community dance, creative engagement, teaching and/or early career.
Accepting Applications from all abilities, races, cultures, religions and backgrounds but must be aged 18+.
Something Outta Nothing (SON) is a new site-specific dance-theatre work created by Jamaal O'Driscoll, which combines Dance with audio technology and a narrative created in conversation with local communities. This phase of the project will produce a 30-minute professional show, toured and adapted to hyper-local environments. Seeking to diversify perspectives of the spaces and the communities who share them. This project is supported by Strike A Light, 101 Arts & Arts Council England.

- Monday 30 June: Preperation Day (Gloucester)
- Tuesday 1st July: 8.30 - 15.00 (Gloucester)
- Thurdsay 3rd July: 8.30 - 15.00 (Black Country)
- Friday 4th July: 8.30 - 15.00 (Black Country)
- *Plus an additional day to visit the cast in creation and performance

FEE & FREELANCE CONTRACT
£601 per week x 1 weeks* (*Summer2025) PLUS holiday pay (12.7%), travel
O'Driscoll Collective contracts performers in line with ITC / Equity Agreements for best practice.
*This is a freelance-based contract for an initial total of 1 weeks / 5 days (Summer 2025)
