O'Driscoll Collective is a national dance & arts company, that was established in 2019 by Artistic Director Jamaal O'Driscoll. Since then the company has found it's roots and inspiration in the city of Birmingham, United Kingdom. Since 2019 the company has shared shows and engaged thousands of participants at venues across England, from South East Dance in Brighton to The Lowry Theatre in Manchester, to Birmingham International Dance Festival, and hundreds of schools.
Over the period five major projects - ONE% (Dance Hub Birmingham), CRABS IN A BARREL (DanceXchange, The Place), MASS BREAKIN (Birmingham Council), DISRUPTION (Derby QUAD), and BLACKPRINT (Powered By CAN) - have focussed on themes of masculinity, social disruption and black mental health.
The bulk of these projects have met participants and audiences in auditoriums, schools, theatres, film festivals, Community spaces, outdoor spaces and dance studios, all of which carry associations which can present barriers to the 'wider community' that OC aims to 'encourage to experience that benefits dance provides'.

OUR AIMS:
1. To inspire and engage individuals of all ages through dance and movement.
2. Encourage the wider community to experience the benefits dance provides by creating opportunity for participation and audience members.
3. Combine raw, authentic breakin' with hiphop theatre and teaching. Bringing the three elements togther to share and upskill the next generation and existing artists, dancers and movers.
